# 2111.03679 - **The deepest Chandra view of RBS 797: evidence for two pairs of equidistant X-ray cavities** - https://arxiv.org/abs/2111.03679 - The authors explored 427-ks X-ray image of a galaxies cluster RBS 797 at z~0.354. They reported the detection of two pairs of X-ray cavities perpendicular to each other. The four cavities have similar ages. They argued two possible scenarios: - a binary AGN in the galaxy cluster powering two perpendicular outbursts almost simultaneously. - a rapid jet reorientation to a perpendicular direction of a single AGN. -  # 2111.02518 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2111.02518 - **State-of-the-art energetic and morphological modelling of the launching site of the M87 jet** - The authors present results of GRMHD simulations of SMBH accretion and jet in M87. They include general-relativistic radiation transfer with a non-thermal emission model to compute radio emission. They find that the systhetic radio image and spectrum are consistent with observations, and the simulation also matches the observed jet profile. Spin of M87* is also estimated to be ~0.5-1.0, with higher spins being possibly favoured. - by **苏钊**
