# 2101.01194 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.01194 - **Searching for energy-resolved quasi-periodic oscillations in AGN** - The authors attempt to do a systematic searching for X-ray quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) in AGN from XMM-Newton archive. Among the 38 bright AGN sample, 6 QPO candidates are reported at characteristic energies. # 2101.01187 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.01187 - **Observations of a radio-bright, X-ray obscured GRS 1915+105** - GRS 1915+105 is a Galactic BH binary famous for its markedly variable X-ray and raido behaviour. Since 2018 it has declined into an extended low-flux X-ray plateau, occasionally interrupted by multi-wavelength flares. This study reveals that this object first entered a low-luminosity canonical hard state, and then transitioned to a highly unusual accretion phase in 2019 June, characterised by heavy X-ray absorption/obscuration. The authors argue that a local absorber hides from the observer the accretion processes feeding the variable jet responsible for the marked radio flaring. - Another related paper: https://arxiv.org/abs/2012.15033 # 2101.00696 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.00696 - **Science with the AstroSat Soft X-ray Telescope: an overview** - The Soft X-ray Telescope (SXT) aboard the AstroSat satellite is the first Indian X-ray telescope in space covering 0.3-8 keV energy band with PSF ~ 100''. It shows great capability on spectral and timing analysis of BHBs, NS XRBs, ULX pulsars, AGNs and stars. # 2101.00815 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.00815 - **AstroSat observations of eclipsing high mass X-ray binary pulsar OAO 1657-415** - 鲍通读完说,这篇文章比较无聊 # 2101.01343 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.01343 - **The power-law component of the X-ray emissions from pulsar wind nebulae and their pulsars** - The X-ray (0.5-8 keV) luminosity of the power-law component of 35 selected pulsars and their wind nebulae are strongly correlated with both the pulsar spin-down power and the magnetic field strength at the light cylinder. And the photon indices are correlated with log P, log P_dot and temperature of thermal component, indicating that the surface temperature of neutron stars plays an important role in determining the energy distribution of the radiating plasma in pulsar’s magnetospheres. # 2101.01497 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.01497 - **Distinct High Energy Cutoff Variation Patterns in Two Seyfert Galaxies** - The authors investigate the relationship between cut-off energy $E_{cut}$ and photon index $\Gamma$ for two Seyfert Galaxies with NuSTAR spectra. Combined with 5 previously studied, the authors find that the $E_{cut}$-$\Gamma$ variations of Seyfert galaxies can be unified into a '$\Lambda$' shape. When the photon index < 2.05, during the 'hotter-when-softer' phase, the authors argue that the height of corona may increase and more seed photons are received. When the photon index > 2.05, the increase in the radiative effectiveness results in a 'cooler-when-softer' phase. - # 2101.01727 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.01727 # 2101.01730 # 2101.02024 - https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.02024 - **X-Ray-to-Radio Offset Inference from Low-Count X-Ray Jets** - The authors utilize the Low-count Image Reconstruction Algorithm (LIRA), reporting the X-ray-to-radio positional offsets of 15 extragalactic jets in 22 sources. They found that in ~55% of the offsetted knots, the X-ray peak at the upstream of the radio, which questions the one-zone model to explane the X-ray emission in the jets. They also found a loose trend of the larger the X-ray-to-radio spatial offset is, the smaller the X-ray to radio ratio along the jet.
